Mommy and daddy toys are more fun
Despite loads of educational, parent-tested, 100%-safe toys, it seems like Fern's favorites are always the ones she sees us "playing" with: cell phones, cameras, guitars, and, of course, the remote control. And going somewhere new, she makes a beeline (of course) for the least safe thing in the room...
